Complications of Common cold .

In adults or children, a common cold that doesn’t resolve can lead to swelling and pain (inflammation) and infection of  sinuses. Other infections. A common cold can lead to other infections, including strep throat, pneumonia, and croup or bronchiolitis in children. 

  1. Sinusitis can develop when a common cold persists and blocks your sinuses.
  2. Blocked sinuses trap bacteria or viruses in the nasal mucus.
  3. This causes sinus infection and inflammation.
