  1. The fetus continues to mature and develop reserves of body fat.
  2. The fetus changes position frequently and responds to stimuli, including sound, pain and light.
  3. The amniotic fluid begins to diminish.
  4. Week 25: More body fat makes the fetus’s skin less wrinkled and plumper.
At the end of 7 months: Baby is 14 to 16 inches long. Weight is about 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 pounds. Taste buds have developed.
  •  Babies can hold their head up and push onto their elbows and forearms when lying on their stomach.
  • They begin lifting their head and chest further by straightening their arms and using chest and back muscles.
  • Your baby also might begin moving their legs and rocking on their stomach.
