Hair loss is not a direct result of anxiety. Rather, anxiety sufferers’ exposure to stressful circumstances is what can trigger hair loss. The degree of stress and the frequency of the exchanges determine how much falls out.
The most frequent cause of hair loss resulting from emotional stress or trauma is heartbreak. It can linger for the duration of the heartbreak plus an extra seven or eight months for the hair to regrow correctly.
TRAUMA CAUSE
This is due to the fact that the emotional strain and sadness will lead hair follicles to enter the resting phase too soon, impairing healthy growth. After that, the hair enters the shedding stage and begins over. But before the hair can grow properly, the cycle repeats again if the emotional trauma is not treated.
While stress is known to contribute to hair loss, it is not believed that stress elevates DHT levels. Rather, it influences your hair via several channels, such telling your body to save nutrients for essential bodily processes or forcing your hair into a resting phase too soon.
In one study, sleep deprivation increased the levels of physical and emotional stress in army trainees. We tracked their hormone levels. Their SHBG levels, of which DHT is one, stayed stable despite a decrease in their testosterone levels.
