Growth and stage of fetal development

There are three stages of prenatal development:

  1. Germinal,
  2. Embryonic,
  3. Fetal stages.
  • The first two weeks after conception are known as  germinal stage,
  • The third through the eighth week is known as  embryonic period,
  • The time from  ninth week until birth is known as the fetal period.
What is the order of the growth from fertilization to fetus?
 
A baby goes through several stages of development, beginning as a fertilized egg. The egg develops into
  1. a blastocyst,
  2. an embryo,
  3. then a fetus.
