How Anemia leads to Alopecia?

Anemia due to iron deficiency and hair loss
The majority of research on the connection between iron deficiency anemia and hair loss focuses on females. The most prevalent type of hair loss in women is female pattern hair loss, sometimes referred to as androgenetic alopecia.

The central section of the scalp typically exhibits thinning hair in cases of female pattern hair loss. The hair on the hairline that runs along the forehead of those who have this pattern of hair loss may also be receding or thinning.

According to research, there isn’t enough proof to conclude that iron deficiency anemia causes hair loss in either men or women. There’s little evidence to imply that an iron deficit is the cause of hair loss, despite several studies finding that individuals with hair loss were iron deficient.

Nonetheless, the data does indicate that hair loss without follicular scarring appears to be associated with iron deficiency hair loss. This indicates that the follicles are not badly damaged and may be able to generate hair again, which is encouraging for regeneration.
